Tech Mentorship Speed Dating

Are you looking for guidance in your tech career? Or do you have wisdom to share with up-and-coming professionals? This event is for you! Using a "speed dating" format (without the romance!), you'll meet fellow tech enthusiasts in a series of brief, structured conversations designed to spark meaningful mentorship connections.

No need to choose between being a mentor or mentee – we believe everyone has something to learn AND something to teach. Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting out, you'll have the opportunity to make valuable connections across experience levels.

How It Works:

  • Arrive ready to share your tech journey, challenges, and aspirations

  • Engage in small group discussions

  • Rotate through multiple rounds of conversation with different participants

  • Connect further with those you click with during our dedicated networking time

Springfield Women In Technology is committed to fostering an inclusive environment where all genders are welcome to participate and contribute to our community's growth.

Closing the Gap: Pay Negotiation for Women in Tech

Closing the Gap: Pay Negotiation for Women in Tech

This interactive meeting empowers women in the tech industry to confidently negotiate their salaries and benefits. Through exercises and role-playing scenarios, participants will develop negotiation skills, build confidence, and learn effective strategies to close the pay gap. The event will cover key topics such as researching market value, crafting compelling negotiation pitches, and handling common negotiation challenges. Participants will leave the workshop equipped with the tools and knowledge to advocate for themselves and achieve fair compensation.

Since women are statistically less likely to negotiate their salaries than men, this can result in lower salaries over time and a larger wage gap. This workshop aims to help level the playing field and ensure equal pay for equal work.

By providing a safe and supportive environment for women to practice negotiation skills, this workshop aims to address the persistent gender pay gap in the tech industry. Participants will have the opportunity to network with peers, share experiences, and foster a sense of community and empowerment.

This meeting is open to all genders and is in the IDEA Loft in the efactory.
